چکیده

1 Abstract The growth of world wide web has dramatically changed our lives. Diierent tools and new techniques based on the world wide web make it possible to perform various collaborative processes and businesses: internet chatrooms, internet phones, video conferences, internet classrooms, and now electronic commerces, etc. Various research and projects have been done regarding how to surf the world wide web in diierent collaborative way and through diierent media: pictures, animations, voices, etc. In this paper, we give a case study in which we implemented a so called Collaborative Web Surrng (CWS) system. Besides others, this system has the following attractive features: 1. It supports the synchronized change of URLs. The leader can lead the surrng of web pages and other audiences will be brought to the corresponding web page that the leader is browsing automatically. 2. It supports voice chat and text chat. Diierent people can talk to one another in voice like using internet phone and in text like in internet chatroom. While the second feature is not new any more, at the point of our writing the paper, we think the rst feature is still new.
